Lucia Darsa has obtained her M.Sc. degree in Computer Science from SUNY at Stony Brook in August 1996. She graduated in Computer Engineering at Pontificia Universidade Catolica do Rio de Janeiro, PUC-RJ, Brazil, obtaining a M.Sc. degree in Computer Science in 1994 from a joint program between PUC-RJ and IMPA, Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics. She has been a member of the VisGraf project at IMPA since 1990, having worked with implicit surfaces rendering and modeling, motion control hardware and compositing, and image processing. She has been involved with morphing research and development since 1992, being a co-author of Visionaire, a commercial warping and morphing software. She has recently co-authored a book on morphing of graphical objects and an acompanying CD-ROM, with source code, published by Morgan Kaufman. She is also working on acceleration of navigation in complex 3D environments, representation/transmission of images over the internet and 3D morphing.
