Replate examples
Please use a resolution of at least 1300x800 on your browser window in order to see the examples clearly.
How to view replates: Since replates often include multiple instances of different
subjects, inexperienced viewers may at first have some
difficulty in understanding the timeline. We have found that
the best way to start enjoying a replate is to identify
where the play starts. Then, follow the play in its
entirety at least once, by tracking the subjects in the
leading role (the ball, a skater, a car, etc). Having first
obtained a global understanding of how the play unfolded,
most viewers can now comfortably see the big picture and
analyze any part of the play,
which is shown in higher frequency in this global arena.
We have successfully tested the video player embedded in this html file on the latest versions of Chrome/Firefox/IE on the PC, Chrome/Safari on the Mac, and Chrome/Firefox on Linux.
Troubleshooting
-
If the videos do not play directly in your browser, we apologize.
Try clicking on one of the links below to see if this fixes the problem.
Otherwise, please use an external viewer. There is a direct link to each video shown right above the video or you can also get them all from the videos subdirectory.
Important: If you use an external viewer, please use one that allows continuous looping (e.g., in Windows Media Player there is a button to repeatedly loop the video). Also please see the descriptions by clicking on the links below to better understand the purpose of each example.
-
If the playback looks jerky for one frame every couple of seconds, it could be due to the fact that auto-looping the video is slow in this JavaScript viewer in some machines.
In that case, we encourage you to load it on an external viewer as described in the above bullet since it may be more efficient at playing the video in looped mode.

It is important to see them in sequence to follow the flow of the video descriptions.
