Lucia Darsa has
obtained her M.Sc. degree in Computer Science from SUNY at Stony
Brook in August 1996. She graduated in Computer Engineering at
Pontificia Universidade Catolica do Rio de Janeiro, PUC-RJ,
Brazil, obtaining a M.Sc. degree in Computer Science in 1994 from
a joint program between PUC-RJ and IMPA, Institute of Pure and
Applied Mathematics. She has been a member of the VisGraf project at IMPA
since 1990, having worked with implicit surfaces rendering and
modeling, motion control hardware and compositing, and image
processing. She has been involved with morphing research and
development since 1992, being a co-author of Visionaire, a
commercial warping and morphing software.She has recently
co-authored a book on morphing
of graphical objects and an acompanying CD-ROM, with source code,
published by Morgan Kaufman. She is also working on acceleration
of navigation in complex 3D environments,
representation/transmission of images over the internet and 3D
morphing.
