Title: Cyclotomic polynomials and prime gaps
Date: 25/06/2021 at 10:30
Abstract:
We consider the question of whether for every natural number there exists
a cyclotomic polynomial having that number as its maximum coefficient. We show
the answer is yes, provided gaps between consecutive prime numbers cannot be too large.
Prime number theory is unfortunately currently not able to answer that, but deep
results in analytic number theory allow one to make substantial progress.
